Meet Manny Blanco, an American Hip Hop artist hailing from Crown Heights in Brooklyn, NY. Known for his distinguished voice and flashy flow; Blanco’s music is often described as adventurous, up lifting, laid-back with smooth storytelling. Along with his amazing musical talents Blanco is also the founder of the Hip hop collective “FatallyCool Music". The passion he pulsates for music and art was developed as a child. During early childhood Blanco was raised in a household with two young parents whose lives were heavily influenced by Hip-Hop. Growing up Blanco and his two brothers lived the typical impoverished lifestyle of an African American residing in Brooklyn, NY. Blanco’s mother was a stay at home mom, and his father struggled between various jobs and hustling in the streets to make ends meet. At the age of six Blanco lost his beloved mother to cancer. Shortly after him and his brothers were put into foster care. In the year of 1999 Blanco’s life would change for the better. His uncle Junior gained custody and later adopted him and his brothers. Uncle Junior became a huge musical influence on him. As an adolescence Blanco watched Uncle Junior freestyle raps around the house, which quickly grabbed his attention. At the age of ten Blanco began writing raps in his journal every night. To spice up his vocabulary uncle Junior would make him read the newspaper, and research the definitions of all the words he was unfamiliar with. In middle school Blanco was given the nickname "FatallyCool" by his math teacher due to him being extremely quiet and shy. The nickname later grew on him, and during high school Blanco formed the collective he named "FatallyCool" with a few close friends. After completing high school, Blanco and FatallyCool began recording and releasing music online immediately. During late 2012 he released his hit single “Super!" for free download. The video attached to this song stretched over 20,000 views on YouTube. The video itself received positive responses and was also recognized by Hip-hop blogs such as "VladTv”, "Thisis50" and “hiphopsince1987." Often abbreviated as "FC" or the "FC SHARKS", "FatallyCool" is also an NYC based clothing brand. In late 2017 Blanco partnered with 2 close friends to help fund the brand and take it to the next level. Since then the buzz around the brand has picked up rapidly around Brooklyn. With his new full length studio album "TRUTH BE TOLD" set to release in spring of 2019, Manny Blanco plans on taking his music and brand to the next level by networking, performing around the city of New York, selling merchandise and using other platforms that are beneficial for his business and artistry.
